5. Camera Feeder and Fiber Optic Media Converter Feeder Line Protection Devices
The AC/DC protection product to be connected to the feeder line of cameras and fiber optic media converters shall
be installed as a Class D (Type 3) Overvoltage Current Arrester/Precise Protection that protects end devices against
overvoltage impulses in accordance with DIN EN 61643-11. It shall have an integrated protection circuit consisting of
gas current arresters and varistors. It shall feature a LED function indicator which is continuously controllable by a thermal
switch, and the protection circuit shall indicate the failure status when it is deactivated. This protection product shall be
capable of being installed onto a U-profile rail located near the device to be protected. It shall be available for use in
direct and alternating current systems. (The properties given below shall be adjustable as suited to the device in line with
the consent of the customer, based on the power requirement of devices.)

6. Movable Camera Data Line Protection Devices
The protection products to be used for both monitoring center and camera data inputs against resulting capacitive
and inductive loads over the data cable, by which the signals of controlled movable cameras are transmitted to the
monitoring center, shall have the following properties:
—It shall be capable of providing basic, intermediate and precise protection.
—It shall feature a “two-stage” protection circuit with a high capacity of lightning current discharge.
—It shall operate according to and in compatibility with high transfer frequency of 100 MHz in maximum.
—It shall support all Busbar systems for general purposes.
—It shall be suited to the connection to busbar with screwless connection terminals that are easy to install.
—It shall measure 17.5 mm wide, offering saving on space.
—Application: On 35 mm long U-profile rail in every distributor box of standard type
